N100 updated drivers 7.30A from HP

I updated the bios and nic drivers on a HPProliant DL380-G2 recently and had
to roll back to the previous version of
N100 card because the new drivers broke the TCP/IP stack. It was very
subtle. Whenever I did a large file copy from a
workstation to the server, the message was the network resource was no
longer available. IPX was fine.
The server has a NC3163 Fast ethernet card. Some of the files it loads in
the new driver are the B57.Lan and B57.ldi file. The B57.ldi is dated
3/11/2003 and the B57.lan is dated 2/14/2003. When I rolled back to the
original B57 files from 9/19/2001 the server was fine. Is this a know
problem and are there more updated files that work.

Hi,

I'm massively confused (or is it you? :-) ). The N100 card uses the
N100.lan, not B57.lan. In fact. Compaq drivers for the GB cards is
Q57.lan, not B57.lan, though the B57.lan will work too. And to top all
that, for neither of them does a version 7.30 exist. The latest N100 is
7.03b, latest Q57 is 6.01, and latest B57 is 7.03.

So, let's start from scratch, ok? :-)
