cant login

I just got the server installed with Small Business Suite 5.1 but I am
unable to login. I have run DSREPAIR several times and each time I get
ERROR: Adding a Network Address Property. I have just installed a newly
downloaded "Novell Client for Windows" on my new machine running Windows XP
Professional. I also just got my server up and running so I am at square
one and completely lost. Please help a frustrated novice.

Sorry, just and addition to the last email. I can ping the server NIC
address ok and I have a turnover cable between the server and the WS. The
workstation is the same motherboard as the SERVER and uses the same onboard
Realtek hardware. I can ping the local WS to its NIC IP address also,
however I do not see a NOVELL connection on that WS. I can communicate
through my router to the internet, so it is working in Windows XP.

When I run IPCONFIG on the WS I get the following:

Your workstation is trying to get an IP address from a DHCP server, but
since there is no DHCP server, it is unable to. You need to manually
assign it an address in the same subnet as the server's IP address,
e.g. 192.168.0.2 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0. Until you do this,
even if the server is working properly, you won't be able to connect to
it or login.

I manually set my ip address to the one you suggested and now I can login. I
also went to the forum you suggested and using a procedure from TID 10066606
ran DSREPAIR and the options suggested and now get 8 errors reported of
which 7 have to do with illegal modifications of timestamps. The last
error -634 "could not find a net address for this server"
