Hello,

we have 2 Netware 6.3 Servers in a Cluster. The Server are both Compaq DL380
with two networkkarts in each Server. Then we habe enabled load balancing.
Samtimes we have a very slow network. On the switsch you can see that only
on the ports from the Netware Server are Fragments and CRC Problems.

Our systemhouse need for analyse the Problem, with what for algorithm the
load balancing work.

Thanks for your help

Michael

This is simply a classical duplex mismatch (or a real physical problem),
it has nothing to do with load balancing.

Resolution is to set all NICs/switches to AUTO. If the problem persists,
you have a bad NIC, bad switch, or bad cable/connection. If you isolate it
to a single NIC.connection, sometimes you can obtain relief until you fix
the broken part by setting that connection to half duplex.

A NIC/switch set to full duplex mismatched to a NIC/Switch set to Auto of
half duplex is a typical cause so do not set anything to full dux.
