Packet dropp with static routing nw 6 sp3

We are using netware 6 server sp3. with bordermanger 3.7 sp2

We are experiencing packet loss from remote locations.. our ISP tells that
that line is fine, and the problem is in the firewall with lan static
routing,
When our ISP perfoms a ping (when the bordermanager is the default gateway)
they see packet dorp and deferred packets
and when we use a workstation (the default gateway directly set to their
router) they see no packet loss.
(It is a private VPN.)
The private card of the bordermanager is a 3c90x-c

If i look at the ethernet counters, is it correct that the collision values
and deferred packets is pretty high???
I have no clue where to go from here, we are using a 3com switch 3300, and
all ports are set to 100mb h/d
and so are the routers and the nic from the firewall.
Your help would be appreciated~!

These numbers are quite high.
The point to you having a half duplex connection with a lot of
collisions.
A possible source of packet loss might be a duplex mismatch. E.g. your
server thinks you are running half duplex, while the device it is
connected to is configured full duplex.
So I would start by verifying the duplex setting.
