this may be a question for the bm/nat forum but will try here first...

am trying to build a new web server (6.5) that will be behind a 3.7 bm
firewall...

the new web server willl host several different webs...

have created new zones and domains which are assigned private ips, and
on the bm server have done nat to go from public > private

it mostly works. from inside i can ping each domain's private & public
ip

from inside i can open a http browser window with the private ip
from outside i can open a http browser window with the public ip

question: from inside i can't open a http browser window with the
public ip...

did i miss something that would explain why i can't open a browser
window from the inside with the publick ip?

Right. Considering that you're probably doing Dynamic NAT on the way
out of your network, well... let's just say you're asking your NATs to
do a bit more than they're capable of. For a more detailed
explanation, please check the BM forums.
