Try disabling NMAS (uncheck NMAS Authentication on the Advanced Login
page in the client properties).

Check your SLP configuration. Also try adding the name of your eDirectory
to your DNS. You can check if name resolving is the problem by filling in
the ip address of your master server in the tree name field. If login is
then possible, SLP needs to be configured.

I reconfigured SLP and sometimes the client gets the SLP info and sometimes
not.
I am going to try disabling the NMAS and check...Thanks for that. I was
