Application hungapp

We have installed Novell 6, on desktop are WXP, OfficeXP and 4.90 SP1.
When user save data to novell server the application (Word or Excel) going
down, it has no response. User must shut down application.

Where is problem ?

The version off desktop program are in czech.

KM,

NSS volume or traditional?
IP, IPX or both installed with the client? How are you resolving NetWare
names?

I would search this forum and try some of the tweaks and related
configurations.

We have NSS volume,
IP client,
and I do not understand "Resolving NetWare Names".

We recognize that the problem is with any size of files, any duration of
using this (from seconds to hours).

NDS, SLP, DNS, Host file? In client properties, Protocol Preferences.

Can you verify if SP3 and the latest NSS update on NetWare 6.0 help you?
Down the road you might want to look at SP4.

Its usually recommended to resolve names with an IP-only client with NDS and
SLP.
Can you verify SLP is properly configured?
