Hi,

we work with netware 6 with Zfd4. We have installed several XP computers
with Client 4.9sp1. Sometimes the novell login screen is replaced with the
one from microsoft. we can place it back if we enable it again in the client
properties (initial novell login) but then after a few times it is disabled
again. this behaviour happens at random and we have not been able to
reproduce it...

i hope anyone can help..

regards
marco

Marco,

ZENworks for Desktops Management Agent 4 could be getting in the way...

Microsoft (MSGINA) login dialog displayed instead of Novell dialog after
installing 4.90 client.

A few other possibilities...

Can you verify NWGINA is set to load?...

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
"GinaDLL"="NWGINA.DLL"

And another GINA is not getting in the way?...

Using a 3rd Party GINA with the Novell Client

How does NWGINA work?

Or you've configured AutoAdminLogon and some values are set to disable the
Novell GINA...

Need to disable the Novell Login during bootup on Windows NT/2000/XP for
trouble shooting
