I'm trying run an ACU upgrade from 4.83 to 4.9 SP1a client- but I get a
blank tab under advanced when I try to login. I have
<blank>/NDS/Script/Windows/Dial-Up tabs and I can't find a way to get rid
of this blank tab - thought it might be for NMAS but may be way off base?

The client installs NICI, not NMAS nor NetIdentity - also configures LDAP
stuff along with a few other bits and pieces, but pretty standard - think
I'm just missing something obvious as I can't find anyone else with the
same problem.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Redards,
Nikki

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, I checked out the registry key, but unfortunately
it doesn't seem to be the same problem. Also tried the ocx thing but no
joy.

My issue is more that I have an extra tab that i should not have, all the
others are fine. Also if I install the client when i have selected the
nmas client it appears the blank tab is populated with the nmas stuff?

thanks again,

Check out the tabs listed here...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Novell\Location
Profiles\Services\{1E6CEEA1-FB73-11CF-BD76-00001B27DA23}\Default

Without NMAS, you have keys for Tabs 1 thru 4.

I also discovered a corrupt ACU install of ours with 4.9 Update B and
discuss it further in this thread...

Hi Tony,

Thank you - it was the location profile config, I was just being a muppet -
forgot to take the NMAS location profile stuff out of my unattend.txt
after I updated my build, it was this that was causing the extra blank tab
to be displayed.

Thanks again - your help is appreciated.
