You should be to at least to SP3 on Windows 2000.

An SLP DA wouldn't hurt if you'll be moving those 4.11 boxes to NetWare 6.x
and resolve names via SLP over IP.
Either would verifying speed, duplex and frame-type settings on the NICs and
any network gear in between.
How can I do That?

In the Advanced section of the Login screen, substitute the server's
IP address for the name in the Server field.

Yes, though we have no experience with SP4 yet. However I'm sure Donald
was referring to NW6NSS3C.EXE which is known to be a "good" patch.
