I try to help a small company using Win98 and Win2k PCs. One Win98
machine connects to the Netware server using the Novell client
3.0.1.0. As this particular machine often hangs (timeouts?), I'd like
to see a logfile. I supplied a filename in the client settings and was
told to write a line "NWEnable Logging = yes" in the system.ini. So
did I. But there never appears a logfile. Shouldn't be that line in a
specific section, as everything in system.ini is organized in
sections?
Thank you,
Viktor.
That's a pretty old client. You should consider upgrading it to at
least 3.32 plus patches. 3.4 is the newest.
You can get 3.32 with patches already applied here:
http://www.chasetown.staffs.sch.uk/technical/novell/clients/w98332e.exe
or 3.4 here:
http://download.novell.com
As for the logging, NWEnableLogging=True goes in the [386Enh] section
of SYSTEM.INI. Afterward, look for NIOS.LOG in C:\Novell\Client32.
