The Apache web manager is a tool that is primarily written for NetWare and
NetWare is the only officially supported platform. The scope is clearly
indicated at the beginning of the document:

<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Audience

It is intended for Web or network administrators who install, configure,
and manage the Apache Web server on NetWare (not Linux*). NetWare
developers might also find the information to be helpful.
>>>>>>>>>>>>

Now when Novell developped the web manager, they also made Linux and
Windows versions available on the novell forge site. You should however be
aware that code on forge.novell.com is not code officially supported by
Novell, but rather a place to host open source projects targeted at Novell
platforms where other developers can contribute. Unfortunately, Appendix B
which describes the web manager for Linux and Windows doesn't make this
clear. Also, what is worse is that this documentation is rather stale. You
should be aware that this is a document from the original NetWare 6.5
documentation that has just been carried over, but not much worked upon.
The latest version of the Apache Web manager is from 2005, years before
the release of OES2. As such, the code has certainly never been tested on
OES2 and I wouldn't trust it running on OES2, especially since it might
have the potential of messing up the apache configuration files and as
such interfere with the main OES2 web services.

So all in all, you should consider the web manager for Linuix an
unsupported gadget that you should use at your own risk and you should be
prepared that because of its being older than OES2, it might not work
correctly on OES2.
