We're trying to setup a OES Linux cluster in an existing eDir8.7.3 Tree.
NSS configuration in YAST endsup in a 'NSS Admin install failed creating
eDirectory objects' error.
Executing 'nssAdminInstall -a admin.org -p passwd -o
lvm-apl1admin.services.org' comes back with a 'Error 6f installing
nssAdmin' error.
'nssAdminInstall -u' displays
'Warning: Upgrading NSSAdmin object - No database found to upgrade.
No NSS Admin object was upgraded, status=c209.'
LUM is configured and working. TIDs, Google and past forum posts couldn't
help me out.
Anyone around that can point me to a possible solution?

I have the same problem
Have you resolved the problem ?
Thanks
I spend a lot of time trying to install nss (mostly remotely) and
finally when i reboot the server and was watching the console i
realised that in boot.msg the entries:
Novell eDirectory LDAP Server TCP port is listening.
Novell eDirectory LDAP Server TLS port is listening.
were missing or getting errors : port not listening
A longer search in novells TIDs i found a hint to check my hostfiles.
As this is a multihome server in my hostfile i found the dns entries
on both ip addresses. This mislead the nldap check done in /etc/init.d/
post_ndsd_start.
A correct host file with only one ip address assigned to the dns full
and short name and i were able to install nss without problems.
Hope this also helps for you.
