error during installation of the iPrint client on Windows XP

Hi,

I want to install an iprint printer on a WindowsXP client.

I start IE and input http://<iprint-server>/ipp as URL
on the PC.
Now I click on the printer (to be installed) and I
receive the message, that the iPrint client is not
installed. I click "OK" for installation and then
"execute" =>
"nipp.exe" => execute.

Now I receive the following error message:
"iPrint client - the operating system is not supported
by this client".

If I execute the same scenario in Windows 2000,
everything is ok.

- version of iprint on OES2-SP1: 6.1.20090608-0.4.1
- version of iprint on XP: 5.12

Any ideas?

Just curious, is this XP Home or XP Pro?

Hmm... what if you try updating the client on the server to the 5.30
client?

I reverted the PC to the original XP installation *without* ZCMAgent
and the installation was ok.

Now I'll try the installation of the iPrint client (5.30) with installed
ZCMAgent ... I'll report ...

Version 5.30 produced the same error.

If I download the nipp.exe to c:\temp e.g. and then
execute this file, everything is ok.
Both 5.12 and 5.30 work correct if I execute them
from c:\temp.

I've forwarded all this information along to my Novell contacts. Trying
to find out if this is an iPrint problem or ZCM problem.
