In iManager I can not access Manager health monitor or printer health monitor.  It always prompts me to enter a user name and password.

Now I can't connect to the Health Monitor. I attempt this by pointing my
browser at:

https://10.40.1.1/PsmStatus

as per documentation. When I do so, a login dialog box appears telling me
that the Site is 10.40.1.1 The dialog prompts
me for my User Name and Password. I have tried every combination.

In each case I use the correct password. Each and every time the login
dialog pops back up. If I select "Cancel" I am take to a page declaring

Authentication Required!

This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the URL
"/PsmStatus". You either supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad
password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials
required.

In case you are allowed to request the document, please check your user-id
and password and try again.

Is this OES2? If so, have you tried the username which was used to
install & configure the OES2 services?

Yes this is a OES2-Linux server.   I have tried admin of the tree, root, admin of the server and none of the logins work.  I can access iManager and NoRM fine on the server.   Just can not get into iPrint|Health Monitor

Did you enter your fully qualified username in LDAP-notation (i.e:
cn=xxx,ou=yyy,o=zzz) ?

I don't think that the user needs to be lum enabled (because root does
not work) - he just needs to be assigned the manager function or role
of the print manager object.

I can access things using the fully qualified username in LDAP-notation (i.e:
cn=xxx,ou=yyy,o=zzz).  Why does OES2 require a login for the health monitor pages?  Anyone to get around logging in each time?  The NetWare side worked real slick.  OES2 seems cumbersome.

No you have to login, that is so by design and necessary to prevent
unauthorized access. But Netware needs a login, too. The main
difference is, that in Netware-iprint psmstatus is integrated into
Remote Manager, whereas under Linux you have to go to the
psmstatus-page manually and therefore login extra.

But unfortunately all in all manageability of OES Linux is poor
compared to Netware.
