NDIR.EXE is a 16 bit DOS command, not a Windows program. The Novell client
for Windows 2000/XP still had legacy support for DOS programs that wanted
to access NetWare specific features. In the Novell client for
Vista/2008/Windows 7 Novell has dropped all legacy support in the client.
This includes support for the IPX protocol but also support for DOS
programs. To get the information you want, you have to use the shell
extensions the Novell client provides by simply checking the properties of
a directory, or you use one of the administration tools.
In case you are using Windows 7 professional, you can also use the virtual
XP machine provided by Windows 7 to use fonctions only supported under XP.
