Hi Joe,

Are both your servers on the latest, greatest, and same patchlevels ?
To be more precise, are they both running the same versions of the NCP
engine ?

What the NCP engine is, is described here:

(note: please be aware that for OES2 SP1 it is officially not supported to also run the Novell client on the server directly.
Just so that you know...)

Since you are using the Novell Client libraries for your programming, it is important that you are running the latest
patches for the NCP engine on your OES2 SP1 servers. You can use the following steps to check.

Make sure you're servers are registered within the customer center, and are subscribed to the catalogs as below

bcc1-node2:/ # rug ca

Then the following command should work to properly update your server(s) to the latest modules:
rug up -t patch SLES10-SP2-Updates OES2-SP1-Updates

as for checking which NCP modules are running on the server:

Hi Joe,

I have installed novell-client-2.0-SP1-sle10sp2-i386.iso in my OES2SP1 server but when running checklogin got the
following error :

./checklogin: error while loading shared libraries: libcallnx.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I do have some LDAP libraries installed, but perhaps you can clarify exactly :
- which LDAP libraries I need in order to be able and run 'checklogin' ?
- which client have you have used ?
