The Novell Client for Windows will pull down SLP settings from DHCP if
the DHCP server hands that info out. If it doesn't, I believe it will
use multicast to find the info. I don't believe the Novell Client for
Linux does this, however. You must configure SLP settings for NCL. On
the Windows machine, enter this command to view the DA & Scope settings.

slpinfo /all

Then enter that information into NCL, restart the box, and you should be
all set.
