Sounds like you need to boot to run level 3 and run sax2 -r to set up your
graphics from scratch...
I assume you're seeing the boot prompt etc???

thank you for replying.
That was the advice that my friend gave me. However, when I boot to NLD and
have the graphics desktop open. I then procedd to open a terminal window. I
type init 3 at the prompt and the OS simply reboots. It never leaves me in
Runlevel 3. Is there somthing that I need to do to get to runlevel 3 that
i'm unaware of?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank
You

That's not normal behaviour. When you first boot the machine, add 3 to
the boot prompt and that should take you into runlevel 3 without going to
5 first...
Looks like I was trying to install a 64 bit card in a 32 bit slot. Since I
only have 32 bit PCI slots available I have returned the card.
Once I get a hold of a 32 bit card i will try again.
However, I did get the machine to boot to runlevel 3 by typing 3 on the boot
line, and run the sax2 from there.
I was booting the OS to Runlevel 5, opening a terminal window and typing
init 3, this caused the OS to completely reboot.
thanks for your help.
