Every time I attempt to run the Sound Recorder and actually attempt to
record, I get the message "Your audio capture settings are invalid. Please
correct them in the Multimedia settings.

When I installed the last beta of SLED 10, audio input worked straight
from the install. When I installed the released version - nothing.
To get the audio input working in SuSE 9.2 Professional, and other
versions (9.1, 9.3), I had to edit "/etc/sysconfig/kernel" and put
"maestro" in the "Modules Loaded at Boot" entry. That wasn't needed in the
beta and doesn't help in the released version.
Hardware: Compaq Armada E500 (laptop), P3x1GHz, 512MB ram.
Audio: ESS Technology ES1978 Maestro 2E
