I seem to be missing a driver disk, but Dell is only supplying that for
Suse Linux Enterprise Server 9. Can anyone help me with downloading or
creating such a driver update disk? Preferably on CD-R, since the
computer is equipped with an IDE-Floppy drive.
There is a workaround from Dell, concerning other SATA controllers
(ICH6R), but not the one I'm using (ICH7 something - more specific an
Intel 80821/GR). Besides that the fix is for the wrong model, I cannot
find any option to change the behavior of the controller.
Is is possible to download some updated version of the NLD? The CD's that
i pruchased from shop.novell.com is labelled: Novell Linux Desktop 9,
powered by SUSE LINUX.
I'm pretty sure they are SP1, but can I download the SP3 evaluation
version, and then change it to my retail version?
Of course if you cannot install at all, that does not help, and I know you
can get the full download in DVD format - I know I got it from somewhere
using a link on one of the NLD forums.
