From lspci -v IRQ = 10, I/0 Port = bc00 AND b800
From setserial /dev/modem IRQ = 0, Port = 0x0000
I tried to change the Port and IRQ with setserial /dev/modem port 0xb800
irq 0x10 but it says that argument is invalid. I also tried giving the
arguments without the '0x', even tried giving only one argument at a time,
but to no avail.
So, how do I get it to run. Any help would be appreciated.
I would try installing minicom first and running minicom -s (as root) to
set it up for your modem device. See if you can then connect to your
modem and issue ati to see if it responds. If not, then there is a
problem with the setup.
Check in /var/log/messages to see what your device modem is appearing as.
/dev/modem is likely a symlink, and it could be pointing to the wrong
device...
