I'm a brand new Linux user running SLED10 and quite impressed with what I
have seen so far. I have two devices that I would like to get working
under SLED.

The first is a Sierra Wireless Aircard 580. I use it with a
Canadian Provider but I believe Verizon uses the same hardware in the
U.S.. I was hoping that SLED would simply idetify the device as a modem
and allow me to configure it but it doesn't seem to recognize when the
Aircard is plugged in. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The second device is the built in fingerprint reader in my T43 laptop.
While I can survive without it, I have learned to really like it and I am
looking for advice on how to get it working under SLED.
