We're using Bindery Queues on an NW4.11w/SP9 server and the NW 4.9w/SP2
client on either Win2KProw/SP4 or WinXPProw/SP1 or 2.
I have flashed both printer and jetdirect card to latest firmware.
I'm using the latest PCL6 driver for 2K/XP.
We are NOT having this problem with any other model of HP LaserJet (we
have over 350 networked HPLJ printers), and, am having it with ALL
printers of this model.
If you print direct to it, using TCP/IP,...it works as expected, and
prints the number of copies you set.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
A bit late for extreme details, but IP/LPR printing using the Local Windows
Print Provider while
Print Queues use the Network Print Provider. Sometimes certain features of a
driver do not work correctly on the Nettwork Print Provider.
Don't ask Why LPR is local and not network, just stupid but true.
I assume that, if I'm having problems, others are, too (I hope...I hate it
when it's just me...<G>).

This is all controlled by Windows, Print Drivers, and the Printer itself.
Capturing the Printer can sometimes change the way to way the print job is
formed.
Changing the Driver cn sometomes change this as well.
You may also want to contact HP about the problem as they are the one
responsible for the problem and the only ones
who can actually generate an actual fix.
Anyway...at least it works...
Thanks.
And, I fully understand what you said, and did write HP, but...you know that
they're gonna blame Novell. The PCL 6 driver worked fine, if you print
straight to the IP address of the printer, not with Novell, though...
Sigh...

Just for kicks, you should try the PCL5 driver ... in the past few
months, I've seen too much strange issues with the PCL drivers (print
job keeps looping, for instance) and switching from PCL6 to 5 (or vice
versa) fixes that ...
