Basically, I've had to modify all the batch files to code the
printer capture settings into the batch file. Before, the batch file
could read:
capture j=receipt_printing
now it has to read
capture L=1 NFF Q=ReceiptPrinter_Q NB TI=4
This second form works fine, but now the printer capture settings are
stored in multiple batch files. Before, I could maintain the job and
it would be good for every batch file that used those settings. Now I
have to change every batch file.
I suspect that I need to log in using Bindery Mode as every user,
to create the proper directory names in the SYS:MAIL folder system.
But that doesn't seem like it will restore the ability to have
printer-capture settings stored in NDS at the container level Is
there any way to get this back? Is my print=capture setting database
corrupt? I don't see how, if everything was from a fresh install. Way
back in the 2x and 3.x bindery days, the database was a file in the
public directory. But once the print-capture settings were
maintainable by NWADM32, I was pretty sure it only existed in the
NDS/eDirectory database. It acts as if the database doesn't have
some old-style extensions that let it hold this data.
Do you think I can get this print-job configuration capabiilty back or
is it gone for good?

PrintCon and the rest of the utillities you are mentioning are dead a long time ago.
With NW 6.x, please use iPrint, and to manage, use iManager
