What about not using a CNAME, but instead just add another A record for
the name you want to resolve?

I'm still confused as to what you want your rosy.example.com to resolve
to.
Example:
A record for www.example.com points to address a.b.c.d
CNAME record for rosy.example.com points to name www.example.com.
