We have approximately 150 machines running xp sp2 that had Novell
Client 4.91 SP2. Recently some clients began receiving the following
error upon logon or when unlocking their machine:

SAS window: winlogon.exe - unable to locate component
ccsw32.dll not found

The fix was to update the Netware client to 4.91 SP4 or later.
The actual cause of the problem is either a windows update or an
upgrade of the Etrust antivirus and pest patrol clients to the latest
version (8.0).

I would assume that any other *.dll file error below the SAS window
error would be remedied by reinstalling the faulting application.

I couldn't find this identical problem anywhere else on the net, so
I'm posting here in hopes it will propagate and help someone else.

Smcintyre,

Your message was not posted to the official Novell news
server or crossposted to a non novell.* newsgroup.
While your news server might show the Novell support
newsgroups, Novell has no official connection with other news
servers, and the message you posted will probably never
propagate to the official Novell server. The SysOps only see
messages on the Novell server and for that reason,
you will probably never get a reply to your
message posted here.

I suggest you post your message directly to the official
novell news server named support-forums.novell.com. The
Novell news server is freely accessible both through HTTP
and NNTP. See http://support.novell.com/forums for details.
