Well,, I can't be the first with this question,, so somebody probably
allready have the answer to my question.

Is it possible to in ANY way Backup Netware with a LTO-4 drive ?

Would prefer to do it with current install of BackupExec 9,2,
though Symantec is NOT very intrested in confirming or denying if it
would work.

So, other options ?
Maybe SBCON ?

Looking into the actuall file that BE uses it's ultrium.nlm from 2003,
so it does NOT look very LTO1,2 or 3 specific

Anyone tried ?

I can't answer for BE, but as far as SBCON is concerned, the latest
NWTAPE.CDM is supposed to add support for LTO4:

Thanks Marcel,,

Worst case,, that'll help to make sure we at least get a full backup.

Issue is;
Customer, 2 node cluster, mirrored external Raid50's,
mirror broken after a failure ( and rebuild) of one of these.

Remirror goes to 52/53% and then de-activates the rebuilt storage
This again and again.. Before doing ANYTHING else like breaking the
mirror and re-doing it,, I'd really like a complete backup...

Btw,
Havent used Sbcon much more than now it's there,
is it possible to backup another server in the same lan/tree or is
it "local server" only ?

You can backup any remote server on which SMS is properly configured and
the required TSAs for the resources you want to backup are loaded. IT
doesn't even have to be in the same tree.

well, managed to dig up an old BackupExec 10/win license
and....used a W2k server with the LTO4 to take the backup....,,

That off course works,, no news there,, but, at least for me..
the LTO4 now average's approx 3GB/min for the last 3 hours....over the
wire ..!!...
