If your backups are also corrupted that would seem to indicate this is not
related to the rename, wouldn't it? If you cannot use the backups then
I'm not sure what to try next. How does your backup software work?
Presumably it grabs files from the disk rather than going directly after
the zeros and ones of the partition for a full backup, right? If it were
to go after the zeros and ones to backup the partitions rather than the
files directly and you had changed NSS options between now and then
perhaps that could be related. It's also strange that the .docx files are
okay while others are not; is that because they are newer and were perhaps
written after the corruption initially took place?
