Well, that sounds like a client configuration error. The client claims you
didn't give it the address of an LDAP server to connect to.

Well, the message suggests a configuration error. Here is the minimum
stuff you need to configure for using simple contextless login:

at the contextless login tab:

- check the "Enable LDAP Contextless Login" option
- optionally, check the "Enable LDAP Context Search scope". This is only
if you want to limit seaching to certain containers.
- under trees, specify your tree name and click on the "add" button. The
optionally select the tree name in the list and click on properties to
configure further options (like contexts to search if you select the
search scope option)
- under servers, enter the IP address of an LDAP server belonging to the
tree you entered above and click on "add". Specify the options for the
server
- optionally, click on "settings" and specify the type of information you
want to search for

It is important that you specify both a tree name and a server IP address.
Also, it is important not to forget to click ont he "add" button.
