FAT blocks at vrepair hang

my novell has 2 volume : SYS, DAT at different drive.
yesterday when i want to boot my novell, it was succesfull mount sys
but when try mount dat it automatically run vrepair. Then after an hour
I'm waiting for, the vrepair display "volume repair was not possible".

here is the display:
Total Errors : 16

FAT Blocks>....
<
Volume repair was not possible.

I've tried to make a clone disk of DAT, when I try to mount the clone
one it will display:

Total Errors : 301

FAT
Blocks>...........................................................<
Volume repair was not possible.


Any one can help me?

load vrepair.nlm
Select "2" to get to the Options
Select "2" to write all entries to disk

Return to the main menu, and try to repair your DAT volume again. If
that doesn't work, you're probably going to have to restore from
backups.

Alas, this looks like your disk is broken beyond repair and that vrepair
is not able to do anything useful with it.

Looks to be like the volume is dead. You'll need to restore from
