sory for my first answer. I was confused looking at an other abend in
this forum. But what kind of hardware do you use? Is this an HP server?
What kind? Your server uses an LSIMPTNW.HAM driver for its
RAID-controller and CPQSHD.CDM (hard disk driver) is loaded.(So far i
have dealed only with HP servers having smart array controllers
(CPQRAID.HAM/HPQCISS.HAM) and CPQSHD.CDM).
Please look for an update of LSIMPTNW.HAM(HP-website for download of
drivers and software) and check the firmware of this controller/server.
Most of your abends in your log file are similar and mention filesys.nlm.
Also there are patches for SLP called SLP213.exe, TCP called TCP587i.exe
and *flsysft11.exe*. You can see them at the site for NW51
"http://download.novell.com/index.jsp?product_id=&search=Search&families=2639&version=2506&date_range=&date_start=04+Feb+2009&date_end=04+Feb+2009&keywords=&sort_by=&results_per_page=&x=13&y=5"
May be you should look through this long list(200 patches) and find out
what patches may apply to your situation. Because this long list is
more complete than the other lists for NW51SP7 or NW51SP8.
Last: your HP insight agents may be updated from 7.10 to a more actual
version like 7.91.
Good luck

in your first you talk about a NW-Server running 5.1/SP8. But the
abend.log states:
"Novell Open Enterprise Server, NetWare 6.5
PVER: 6.50.08
Server ZEUS halted Wednesday, December 24, 2008 11:11:29.883 am
Abend 1 on P00: Server-5.70.08: Page Fault Processor Exception (Error
code 00000000)".
But you run OFM(BackupExec) and Virus-scan software on your server.
Maybe that's a hint. Try a backup without OFMand /or without AV-scanner
if possible.
>HP Insight agent is not running on the server though modules are
>present.
The fact that the agents show in the abend.log file means they are
*loaded*. Maybe you are not taking advantage of the agents in any way, but
they are definitely loaded. Maybe there is a bit of misudnerstanding what
these agents are.
The HP management agents (or insight agents) are *automatically* installed
when you do a server install with the HP smartstart CD or when you install
a Proliant support pack on your server. The agents allow monitoring the
server in 2 different ways:
- either through a web interface provided by the agents on the server
itself.
- or through SNMP by a remote management server (could be HP insight
manager or some other management solution).
Now the fact that your agents are not up to date typically means you might
not have up to date HP drivers and other software as well. The easiest
solution mihhgt simply be to install the latest Proliant support pack for
NetWare which you can find here:
