when you unzip the psp-7.91.nw.i386.zip file you will find a file
cpqcsp.txt that says:
"Minimum OS Requirements for the PSP...
NetWare v5.1 Base installation. However, Support Pack 7 or later
is recommended."
(remember: You did not fail, you have just find another way how you
should not do it! ;-) )
But we should be able to roll back:
Please copy via floppy from a server running nw51/sp6 and PSP7.30:
CPQRAID.HAM and CPQRAID.DDI and CPQSHD.CDM (from C:\nwserver to
C:\nwserver as far as i remember). If the server is ok again you should
first consider applying SP8 and NW51os8a.exe. You may find patches on
"http://download.novell.com" and select "Netware" and "Netware 5.1" then
you will find them among the 200 patches.
Good luck

it is also possible to extract the single files from the psp named
cp00xyzu.nlm manually to find out whether the PSP installs its own NWPA.NLM:
- Copy the single files to the sys:\temp directory
- please type "sys:\temp\cp00xyzu.nlm /?" for showing options what you
can do
- find the file cp00yxzu.nlm in CPQCSP.txt which deals with CPQRAID.HAM
(the most suspicous file that may have its own NWPA.NLM)
- type "SYS:\temp\cp00yxzu.nlm -xSYS:\PSP\ meaning you want the files to
be extracted to SYS:\PSP directory and look there for the file named
NWPA.NLM
- for instance the LAN drivers that come with a PSP from HP also have
their "own" ETHERTSM.NLM and MSM.NLM
If you want to compare the version of loaded modules among your servers
please type at the console prompt:
m(odules) ABCDEFGHI.NLM
and hit ENTER button
Hope this helps
the name cp00xyzu.nlm is used as an example to refer to the NLMs you
named in your mail.
But these nlms can only run on a netware server. Load one if these nlms
and look at the new console screen at the bottom line where options are
shown of what can be done like extract the package or show the content
of nlms in it. After you have extract the files you can copy them with
the help of a floppy disk or a burned CD to the server that needs them.
For a CD to be mounted in DOS you need the program MSCDEX.EXE to be
loaded by autoexec.bat and the CDROM driver CPQIDECD.SYS (SMARTSTART-CD)
to be loaded with appropriate parameters by config.sys.
