Hi.

Vista is coming at several sites now, for e.g. CAD workstations that
need to use more than 4 Gig RAM...

So what is the current status for iPrint Printer Profiles for Vista?

This is all I found here so far:

I answer to myself,
Driver properties are defined when you create the policy.......

>Is there a reason for not supporting Vista in printer profiles (I get
>a message that my Os is not supported when I try to create a profile
>with my Vista

I don't get what Patric is talking about here.... :(

This feature is currently under development, we are planning to release
it soon.

Hi.

Did I miss something obvious?

Or is this posting somehow inapropriate? (unintendedly insulting?)

There's some work happening in this regard and an experimental/beta
release supporting is likely to be available with OES2SP2 Betas.

Is it possible to participate at this stage of the Beta phase?

Regards, Rudi.

It is possible, and we very much welcome that - please get in touch with
babrown at novell dotcom and indicate your areas of interest, if it's
only iPrint / Vista Profiles and / or others as well.

Madhan

Done.

Doesn't seem to be "very much welcome", at least not now :(
Or is Beverley's answer just an autoreply?

Rudi:

This will be included in the public beta for Open Enterprise Server 2
SP2. We are expecting that beta to be ready around the end of July.

It will be posted on www.novell.com/beta in the public beta section.

Would you like me to notify you when that is available for download?

Hmm.

The have a timeline by when the applications for authorized beta testing
close. I guess that's what has happened here. I have responded to you
in a email. We'll try to work out something, atleast for NetWare.

Madhan

Could you get an OK to offer something for Vista Profiles for
OS=NetWare to us?

Tx. Regards, Rudi.

It'll be possible Rudi. We are hitting some MS bugs/changes, which
are affecting this. When ready, we'll contact you.
