Far as I know, D/P is set by IDM (either directly or via a called to NMAS
- but initiated by IDM) when it received a password from a connected
system (ie via one of the drivers) ...


(And just as a matter of fact, I alway also enable the "Advanced Password
Rules")

The thing is, if you have IDM running, it would receive a password change
event (unless you filter it out, which I doubt since you want password
sync happening) ... so IDM could have set the D/P. Reason I'm saying that
is in a non-IDM environment, I don't see any D/P being set - but I haven't
gone digging for that for some years now ...
