ZFD4 ; policies were executed a few times and then ... NOTHING

we have installed ZFD4 on a NW5.1SP5 with all patches and updates
needed.
As novell client we installed w2000 4.83SP1. Then afterwards the
managment agents for zfd4 were added. The workstation is a W2000 with
SP3.
The policies seemed to have worked for a few times, because some users
now still have weird colorschemes.
Now nothing happens anymore. Not the roaming profiles, not the DLU,
not the extensible policies.
In the registry we can see that the policy package arrives on the
workstation. But apparantly it's not executed.
In fact we installed the evaluation version of ZFD4, because the
customer was still waiting for the licenses he purchased but wanted to
continue with the project.
Can all these problems be explained by the evaluation version?
We already applied the beta patch (available from today) for the
management agents. But again, without success.
Can anyone help us?
