Hi,
I have a PC with a DVDR and CDRW combo drive. When I boot off
the bootable Zenworks CD. (Zenworks version 3.22) I use the install
command. Normally you can then install the boot partition and then go
off to do your normal image installations. I have used Zenworks heaps
off times before but not this issue. Now my problem is that the Lilo
boot installer complains that it can't find the install files. Comes
up with the error "No such file or directory" Can't mount \flopp\xxxx.
So for curiousity sakes I put in a normal CDRW drive. Worked fine. I
also have other PCs with DVD readers and CDRW combo drives no problem.
So it has something to do with the DVDR and CDRW Combo drives. Now I
have 14 PCs with all the same hardware. I have a workaround as to go
around to all 14 PCs just use a normal CD to install the lilo boot
partition then put the DVD writer back in.
I was hoping someone out there has had the same problem and has
rectified it. As I am not too good on linux stuff. ButI have been
using the Zenworks boot imaging for two years now and this the first
time I have come across a CD ROM not being recognised properly by
Zenworks boot partition.
Thanks in advance,
Jim Propert
