I have a load of Fujitsu-Siemens Lifebook C6637 laptops, which have a
Realtek RTL8139 built-in NIC.
When I try to boot the linux kernel to image the machines, either using PXE
or the boot CD, just after the kernel boots, I get the messages:
cardmgr[48]: Starting, version is 3.2.4
cardmgr[48]: Exiting
The laptop then freezes completely.
The only workaround I have for this is to stick a PCMCIA NIC in a slot, swap
the network cable to this after its driver is loaded and it begins hunting
for a DHCP server.
Does anyone know of a real answer to the problem???
Thanks,
Iain
