Printers Locking Up when printing MS Project and PDF Files

We have got a problem with printer locking up when we send to a print job to
it via IPrint

When you look on the server it says that it has only sent so much of the job
e.g. 5% and then the copier say that it is still receiving data but it
doesnt move off 5%

So you have to turn the printer off and then delete the job from the server
and then turn the print on again and the job is cleared have anyone else had
the same sort of problem or know how to fix this ?

If you print directly to the printer it prints out ok
