I want to use the RADIUS:Default Profile attribute of eDir. 8.x to set
group rights
for my CISCO VPN concentrator. I want to run Funk Steel Belted Radius on
Windows and have it authenticate via LDAP from eDir.. Is there any info
on this
attribute available? Also, how can I go about populating this attribute?
Do I need Border Manager to do this?

Thanks

The "RADIUS:Default Profile" attribute is only used by Novell RADIUS. Funk
SBR cannot use this attribute.

It sounds like you're trying to get Funk SBR to send the contents of an
eDirectory attribute back to your Cisco VPN concentrator as a
vendor-specific RADIUS attribute. This attribute would contain "group rights
info" for your Cisco VPN concentrator, and you would be able to manage it
through eDirectory. Are my assumptions correct?

This sounds like a reasonable request, but as I've not worked extensively
with Funk SBR, I have no idea if Funk SBR can do this. I suggest checking
your Funk SBR documentation, or contacting Funk.

The contents of the "RADIUS:Default Profile" attribute are specific to
Novell RADIUS. If my above assumptions are correct, then you might need to
extend eDirectory schema to contain your own custom attribute for this
purpose.
