There is no full install of 2.7 SP3 all as one. You must install 2.7 and
then patch to SP3. this has worked for me both server and workstation on
several machines. Have you tried a fresh install of iManager workstation
and then tried adding SP3 followed by the install of all your favorite
plugins?

Good luck.

No, you should not need to reinstall in order to apply SP3 and so far, in
all my testing, I have not needed to, but for some reason your system
appears to be behaving differently. Removing your old instance of
iManager was not what I suggested but rather simply trying a new one to
see if the issue was limited to your existing iManager instance or
something else in your environment. Hopefully this clear things up.

I have no idea about iPrint functionality. Sorry. You will likely find
the best answers for plugins in the forums dedicated to the applications
for which those plugins exist.

Good luck.

An upgrade from SP2 to SP3 should have worked, and it did work on my
installations. However one major problem with iManager is that the npm
installation procedure in general is unreliable, and sometimes you get
into trouble when trying to install a new npm, whether it is an SP or a
plugin.

>So now I have to re-install from the beginning, then update to SP3 and

Note that in this case, it is actually worthwhile downloading the "new"
iManager 2.7 and reinstall it from scratch. In fact, without annoucing it
much, Novell has silently updated the original iManager 2.7 installation
files. They didn't update iManager itself (it is still 2.7 without SP),
but they updated the underlying tomcat and java versions. The "new"
version now runs on tomcat 5.5 and Java 6 (as oppsed to tomcat 5 and Java
5 previously).
Note that the only way to get from the "old" iManager 2.7 to the "new"
iManager 2.7 is to reinstall it from scratch. Also note that this is only
available for standalone versions of iManager 2.7, not for the version
included in OES2 (NetWare or Linux).

The ability to install printer drivers on a particular browser is
completely unrelated to iManager itself. It is an issue of the iPrint
plugin and the iPrint client architecture. In fact, the major "work" of
the printer driver upload is done by the iPrint client, not by iManager.
With current iPrint client, this is done through an activex control
installaed by the iPrint client, and because IE is the only browser that
supports activex, IE is the only option to upload windows drivers.
To support uploading printer drivers with a different browser, a new
iPrint client and a new iPrint plugin are needed. As I understand, Novell
is currently developing these. The iManager version should be little
relevant in that case, except that it must be a version compatible with
the iPrint plugin.

What platform is this?

My guess is that it is probably scheduled for OES2SP2.

That's especially true for the standalone version. Instead of using IE for
the standalone version of iManager like up to version 2.6, Novell
deliberately included a mini Mozilla based browser in iManager 2.7, even
that that browser is incompatible with some plugins.
You can however work around that issue like this:

start iManager workstation but don't log in on the screen presented.
Instead, also start IE and point it to the URL http://localhost:48080

With the latest iPrint plugin, the latest iPrint client and updated iPrint
modules ont he server (the updates you need for Windows 7 support), it is
now supposed to be possible to manage pritner drivers through Mozilla.
However with iManager workstation, the success seems to not always be
guaranteed.
