Using Ifolder 3.6.0.8217 I installed the client on a second PC for one
Ifolder User. The first PC connecting to this Ifolder account
snychronisation is working without errors. On the second PC
synchronisation always says that 14 elements wont be synced.
The sync-log doesnt say anything about that problem, so how do I find
out, what files cant be synced'

Hi,

first thanks for the answer!
But it's very hard to believe. While talking about a software that was
made for synchronizing files and folders between multiple computers and
a server getting no information about files that have sync-problems
except the message that there is a problem with some files, make this
software absolutely unusable (and unprofessional). If there is really no
way to find out which files have sync problems only one resolution
left...uninstall ifolder completeley. Thats very bad. I just remember
Novell Netware Mobile...long years ago...had the same function but
worked much better and had a useable logging.

I just did an content-based compare. But while Ifolder still says there
is on difference the compare found no differences.

3.7 is no better. Server is very unstable. My Linux guru (Novell Edir
engineer and Linux specialist) says that MONO is a POS and will be the thorn
in Novell's side for as long as they insist on using it. Right now
apparently it has serious memory leaks. He setup a weekly schedule on mine
to clean up whatever processes are the problem and so far my server will
run for a few weeks at a time before I finally have to reboot it. Better
than the every other day that I was doing. To be told to get a file compare
utility just goes to show you that in my opinion Novell as no commitment to
this product. Even though 3.X has some needed features 2.X was a much better
product stability wise. It ran on Netware and just worked. Now the force
over to Linux has made it an unusable, unstable product that tarnishes
Novell's reputation. Just my two cents.

Yesterday I moved to OES2 SP2 with SLES10 SP3 and so to new ifolder version.

That indeed changed NOTHING!

The same sync problems are still there.

Using one PC with client it always says that there is one file unsynced,
but dont tell which one, also the option to check sync problems isnt be
shown.

Sometimes when startinf the client he tells that there are 14 files have
to sync'ed, starts syncing and left the one error, sometimes at start
the client directly says that one file is wrong.

And the last-sync date is still back the 6th ov Nov.

So it's an unusable product. I think it will be better to copy files
manually again.
