1. First of all Novell doesn't write the original GMS software - Nokia
(and novell then repackages and tweaks it) does. So they can't do iPhone
until Nokia releases the new code to them. You might complain (and I'm
sure Novell is doing so in private meetings), but the alternative was
for no GMS to exist at all - I don't think Novell has the resources to
develop and maintain a wireless sync solution by themselves - too many
darn devices. It is a horrendous TASK, and users constantly complain
about why such and such device isn't supported on a monthly basis! At
any rate, it's not completely far to blame Novell in this case.

2. The wireless forum is where we talk about GMS. This forum is for the
discontinued PDA CONNECT (which will never have iPhone support)

I have just started using a solution called NotifyLink which offers
over the air sync between
my Apple iPhone and Groupwise. It works great with my email, contacts
and calendar.

You can get it in the UK from a company called London Web.

Jbalfourlynn,

Your message was not posted to the official Novell news
server or crossposted to a non novell.* newsgroup.
While your news server might show the Novell support
newsgroups, Novell has no official connection with other news
servers, and the message you posted will probably never
propagate to the official Novell server. The SysOps only see
messages on the Novell server and for that reason,
you will probably never get a reply to your
message posted here.

I suggest you post your message directly to the official
novell news server named support-forums.novell.com. The
Novell news server is freely accessible both through HTTP
and NNTP. See http://support.novell.com/forums for details.

This message was posted automatically. Please do not reply
