I am trying to confirm whether or not using this view actually opens an
email. Recently someone looked at the Properties of a suspicious email
and it tried to place a virus on the computer (antivirus caught it.) My
concern is could the same thing happen with Quickviewer turned on.

Thanks!

Certainly, if a user views an HTML mail in the Quickviewer, it can do the
same things as "opening" an HTML mail message. My recommendation for ALL of
my clients has always been the same. Lock the viewers to plain text, and
make users "choose" to change to HTML if they so desire. Some sites just
lock out all HTML mail period.
