I am trying to find the file AR.EXE of GroupWise 4X, in order to convert a
WordPerfect POST OFFICE and DOMAIN to GropWise %X version and them to 7X.

Does anybody has it ?

I actually probably do somewhere <g>. I'm not sure if you need anything
other than just ad.exe (i.e., if there are any dlls, etc.) - I'll look
around. Is the email address you have listed a valid address? If so, I'll
send you an email when I find them, and a spot where you can download them.

Yes ca...@jcnassur.com.br is my email, but I could find the AD.EXE program
, but when converting the PO I get the C0$#-67 as convered in TID 2931447.

Trying to follow the TID I receive a message that the database is newer
than the Administrator and it exits.

So, I cannot migrate the PO. Any idea ?

Sorry the error on converting the PO was C043-67

I've found that part of the errors came from the same name of both DOMAIN
and PO.
So I placed each one in a different OU and I could create both objects.
But trying again to convert the PO I get the same error when I execute :
LOAD GWPOA /CONVERT @...POA.

The real problem is in the PO or in its database.

By the way the first file is the one that I am using GW41AUS.EXE.
The other is too old.

Should I post this on the MIGRATION FORUM ?

Have you migrated the PO before starting the poa with the Convert Switch ?

There was nothing else to do, so I tried it.
I have good beackups of that, but the case is that this is the fifth
migration that I try and always I get the same error on the operation :

LOAD GWPOA /CONVERT /HOME-XXX.POA

And the error is always the same :
C043-67 ERROR CONVERTING THE DATABASE from TID 2931447

Did you try the rebuild ?

And sorry about been a bit rusty here, but it's been a while since I last
touched a GW4 system ;-)

The question is :

Actually I have a AD 4.1e, should I try with that one that you point me
that is older ?

Before starting NWADMN32 and the WIZARD to "MIGRATE A GROUPWISE 4.X", I
did a POST OFFICE REBUILD and a DOMAIN REBUILD.

So, after that (rebuilding), so running that wizard, the last step is to
load gwpoa with /convert and at this point I cannot go any longer because
I get taht C043-67.

TID 2931447 is not saying step-by-step what should be done.
What I have to do to preaper the DATABASE before I start that wizard,
knowing that once I start the wizard the AD is not capable to handle the
database anymore.

So any step after starting the wizard will use AD anymore.

What I have tried yesterday:

- Applied SP4 to GW55, but error persists
- Full Archieved 2 users and then deleted the PO, created a new PO,
unarchive both users, ran AD 4.1e, did all migratin thru NWADMN32, but the
error persists.

Do you have a GroupWise 4.1 installation files in order to give my last
try ?
I think that if I migrate the system to GW4.1 and open a its post office,
then I'll be able to do the migration....

What do you think and do you have those files, please ?

No Clue, and the oldest tuff I have is GW5.2 Scandinavian :-(

I would consider an insident here.....

I know GW4.x isn't supported, but considering you are going towards GW7, they
might be able to help

What do you mean ? That you are going to provide me that files ?

This is a costumer that is considering keeping Gwise (he really loves
Gwise) so he contact us thru GWAVA, instead of moving to Exchange (and it
will be very good for him keeping GroupWise, because he will lose no
messages or Appointments of almost 10 years), but we should provide one
path to migrate the whole thing.

I am waiting anxiously for your answer.

Nope, but maybe, and that's only a guess, they can assist with the error

That you should try and open an incident......

Even though GW4.x isn't supported, they might consider helping you, since
your problem is related to a GW7 upgrade.
