We had a problem with users reporting that when re-sending a meeting the original meeting was not deleted from either the sender or recipients calendars.
We were able to recreate this problem:
- the appointment is scheduled via proxy for another person.
- that person uses the 'Mailbox Size:' dialog box to clean up their account and deletes the sent item from there. If they use that box to delete it they don't get the prompt for deleting it from the recipients mailbox, instead they get the prompt that says 'Items deleted and emptied will not be recoverable.' and when they delete the sent item the calendar item is not deleted.
- the calendar item is rescheduled, it prompts you to retract original to which you click yes, it sends out a new appointment and you get the new meeting but the old one stays intact. Even if you try to delete the old one and get prompted to 'Delete this item from all other recipients mailboxes' it will not delete it from the recipients, it will only delete from the senders calendar.
