* matt,

check what the POA says when that happens. Are your users in online mode?

Seem to be getting this reported occasionally when users are trying to
open emails in their inbox. They get this only when opening multiple
emails from the same email address within our agency. We're running
GroupWise client 7.0.3.
The exact email message is *"GroupWise Error [8201]: Access to file has
been denied. Please note the error code in the title. For solutions,
your system administrator can look up the error code in the GroupWise
Documentation: Troubleshooting Guide.*

A bit of a generic message, but can anyone supply any insight to help?
Thanks in advance to all,
Matt

I also have users reporting this problem. It seems to have become prevalent
after I upgraded to 7.03 but I can't be absolutely sure of that.

Clients, in my case, are running 7.02 against a 7.03 backend. All are
running in online mode.

The error only occurs when replying to messages, and then not all messages.
I haven't heard of the error occurring when creating a new message.

I don't see an error on the postoffice when this occurs for the user.

In this case for me, it was some corruption in the windows user profile on
the machine. Renaming the profile and having the system recreate it has
fixed the problem.

Cheers,
Ben.

I didn't notice that error. Did you try the 7.0.3 client to see if that fixes it?
