Normally, a GWCheck Contents will restore system folders, have you tried
that ?

So what happens if he tries to generate a new draft message ?, try
creating one with a unique subject and then running a Find to see if the
message shows up.

I'd also try rerunning the GWCheck Contents as well just to make sure,
archiving the entire mailbox is a fairly tortuous routine to go through,
but should work though you might need to actually delete and recreate the
account with the correct FID. Also try a GWCheck Structural Rebuild.
The recreate database is the GWCheck option to avoid as that trashes the
existing folder structure

Definitely sounds like they had somehow moved the WIP folder under the
Address Book area. So the GWChecks didn't change anything as the WIP
folder was actually in the account, it just wasn't working correctly as it
was in the wrong place.
