We have no panels in the Home View and no drop-down icon. The default Home View only shows a collapsed version of the folder list similar to the folder list on the left when it is displayed. My home properties - Display tab does not have "Customize Panels"

What when wrong? I am running the shipping version on the Post Office and the sp 1 public beta on the client.

Never mind. I found a view by panels setting in the properties of the home folder on the display tab.

Dan,

Try changing the view mode from the display settings tab on the properties of the home folder. Once this is done all you need to do is shut down cleanly (not necessarily immediately). But if you crash the panel configuration settings may not be written to the database.

When you switch from view by panels to view by details (or view by anything else) it shouldn't delete your panels, they're essentially hidden. They should come back if you choose view by panels again.

Scott,

I am only switching to view by panels. After restarting GW, the view by details returns and the panels must be reconfigured. This is not just happening to me. Another account on a PO running the Beta sp1 have their view by panels set properly, but after restarting GW, they return to the default home view without any panels.

As an admin, I deleted a panel to see how to get it back. Different issue, but maybe related. After recreating the panel, I went back in to make another change and restarted GW. Once again, the view by details was the default, but more important, the changes to the panel I created are lost. Only the configuration of this panel that was originally saved comes back, changes are not.
