After upgrading the client to 7.01 I have been having issues with GWSYNC process at 100%. I am using the older client on my notebook and do not have that problem there. Is there any known issues with the 7.01 client? If I stop the process in the task manager the utilization goes back to normal. Information on GWSYNC is very limited, what exactly does this file accomplish.
I have changed my workstation to online mode from caching and it still pegs at 100%.
Thanks

Try disabling your virus protection and see if the utilization goes down.  Or try reinstalling the GW client with the virus protection disabled.

We had some problems with this and McAfee interfering with the install.

Richard,

A bug that we fixed for 7.1 was to ensure that quick finder indexing happened regularly against archive db's. Prior to the fix quick finder indexing would only run against an archive db if you had auto-archive enabled. Now each time you start GroupWise, if you have a valid archive db, quick finder will process 1000 records, until it's caught up. Once it's caught up it should run like prior releases did. This will significantly improve find performance against the archive db. GWSync is a lower priority process so it shouldn't degrade the GroupWise client's performance.
